Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in ChE: Data

The following two graphs show the gender (left) and racial/ethnic (right) distribution of the entire undergraduate population of the Chemical Engineering Department at UMass Amherst from the 2012 entering class to the 2019 entering class. Data will be updated annually to reflect pertinent changes. Data is collected by UMass Amherst. *We currently only have data on gender binaries. Gender data will be updated to reflect broader gender diversity when available. **Racial/ethnicity data for international students is not currently available. Students with URM designation are self-reporting, domestic students.

Data on the right compares the undergraduate and graduate student populations to reported numbers for all people living in Massachusetts (MA, dashed line) and in the United States (US). Data will be updated annually to reflect pertinent changes. Student data is self-reported and collected by UMass Amherst.
